Game 150 for us and game 5 on the Granhop (not sure if that makes sense or if it relates better to hopping around different grans rather than her groudnhopping?!?... but anyway lol)

Back to Livi and we were keen to see how the community ticket giveaway would turn out, both in terms of attendance and atmosphere.

A huge thanks once again to Livingston FC and of course Kick Mental Health who helped us all attend via community tickets. You can find Kick Mental Health on both facebook and twitter.

THE PREDICTION
I never said it out loud in fear of jinxing the game, but I had it down for a scrappy 0-0, everyone else had Livi down for the win.

DOWN TO THE ACTION!
Felt the second half was much better than the first, particularly from a Livingston point of view. First half there were occasions where there was excessive passing between defenders and goalkeeper, seeminglystruggling to move the ball forward.

St Mirren appeared the better more polished team, passing about nicely, looking more comfortable and in control of the ball. Livingston do have such a beautiful counter from back to front, just so fluid at times and great to watch.

Again the crowd grew, later in the game it was Livingston who we were trying to pull over the line to grab the winner, just not to be today.

A draw not a terrible result, but it speaks volume of the growth and expectations of the Lions that it did feel somewhat like a defeat.

IN CLOSING
Great to see so many of the community tickets claimed and used, it would be great to find a way to move the Livi Singing section to help facilitate a louder crowd. Being stuck in the corner makes it harder for them to build and maintain any kind of atmosphere through the whole crowd. Not sure if possible or why it wasn't done, but to house the community tickets on the other side so that the Livi Ultras were now central, could help change it.

Shout out to these sections for trying to get chants going!

There were moments where different sections attempted to build up in song but it faded quickly when it didn't spread. On a whole great attendance and another big forward step for Livingston football club.

Well done to St Mirren fans who brought a good amount of noise!

Turnstiles and Terraces - MAN OF THE MATCH
Ayo Obileye - Massive force at the back and always a goal threat when forward. If you created him on Fifa, you were cheating! lol

EXTRAS

First time we waited for a bit after the game to meet the players, ended up leaving early though as it was freezing and was only the St Mirren players we seen. Would be cool if there were set times for a meet and greet, or the Livingston players went around the touchlines meeting fans after the game (maybe help lessen the constant pitch invasions). Undersandably probably not the ideal time as tired, media obligations and absolutely freezing during winter, but I think the fan interaction aspect is valid.

We feel meeting players adds to the connection people feel to both the club and especially the team. Be great while Livingston are trying to grow that connection they utilise something like this to help grow that bond between fan and players/club. In fairness it would be great at all clubs 😁

We did manage to get a photo with St Mirrens Jordan Jones 👍

TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!

A huge well done to Bo'ness Athletic who went top of the EoSFL Conference X after beating Title contenders Syngenta 2-1 at home at Newtown Park. Tiwi Daramola joins Scott Sinclair in Club 40, two incredible young forwards smashing the goals in. With plenty games to go, it could well become the 50 club! Also great that Craig Snedden is back in action, what a vital player for the team.
(My phone was on constant refresh to keep tabs on this during the Livingston game)

The KING CUP 3rd Round
Saturday 26th February 2022 - KO 14:30 - Newtown Park
Bo'ness Athletic Vs Fauldhouse United

This is my choice for our next Saturday trip, but the missus wants a hotel in Aberdeen for the Game Vs Dundee United, trying to tempt me with meeting Alex Ferguson, be interesting to see where we end up.
