Game day 143 a special thanks again to Livingston FC and Kick Mental Health for the tickets we recieved.

When I started Groundhopping, I never imagined I would be attending as many Scottish games as I am. Never really having any affiliation or loyalty towards a Scottish Club (barring a fondness of Talbot). I grew up watching Manchester United and Alex Ferguson, leading to me trying to get the wee boy into Aberdeen due to the history and connection to Sir Alex. You simply cannot choose someones club however, even though his first full kit was an Aberdeen one, he was all about the LIVI on the way through lol.

The tickets handed out, the Lions bus being accessible, much improved social media and the return of programmes all great things to help build a bond and feeling of connection to the club. Well in to everyone involved in helping this little lion ROAR!

THE GROUND

The Tony Mac, The Spaghettihad, The Almondvale, The Macaroni... whatever you call it, it's a good stadium with a plastic pitch and rising noise levels thanks to the hard work on and off the field.

THE PREDICTION
To be honest, I thought Aberdeen would creep this like the last time, but Livingston are just getting better and better. (the Wee boy chose Livi to win)

DOWN TO THE ACTION!
Great game that went right to the wire, back and forth to the last kick of the ball, if you weren't standing you were on the edge of your seat. Fans were fully involved and engaged in every decision right up to the final whistle, it was brilliant to be a part of. To continue the Lion analogies, Martindale has lifted Simba for everyone to see and now we just have to help it grow and see where it goes!

The Ramirez finish was a belter but not enough to get anything from the game. Sideways lacklustre football had chants of "sacked in the morning" coming from the Aberdeen fans. Last time we heard that was at Jack Ross from Hibs, he did indeed get sacked in the morning! Worrying times for Stephen Glass.

Aberdeen attempt to get past big Obileye using two balls, but it just wasn't happening!

Had a proper write up, but due to ill health, a crazy schedule and a missing USB it has had to be redone  :-( A bit like Tenacious Ds Greatest song in the world (the greatest Write up) Honestly it was! lol

Please watch the Video click here... and check out official highlights through the relevant channels when you get the chance.

IN CLOSING
It was great to see an ever growing connection between the crowd and the team. No longer does it seem these are just people attending livi games, but a growing base of Fans! Usually Livingston has been quite quiet apart from the Ultras at the left side, but now everyone is becoming more vocal, I really hope this continues and gets bigger. This along with improvement on the pitch, this underdog team, with a lower budget and smaller fanbase continues to fight the odds and earn its place at the top tier.

Turnstiles and Terraces - MAN OF THE MATCH
Ayo Obileye - This guy is class!

EXRAS
It has been reported that the match Referee continued his booking spree after the game, booking 3 fans, 2 stewards and a police officer... Hall of Shame addition for this ref 👎

THE GRANHOPPER
Masons Gran is not a fan of football but here are her stats so far...lets see if we can convert her lol

Game 1 - Blackburn United 2 Vs 3 Linlithgow Rose - Purdie Worldwide
Game 2 - Broxburn Atheltic 0 Vs 2 Linlithgow Rose - Albyn Park, Broxburn
Game 3 - Murieston United AFC 1 Vs 3 Tollcross Thistle AFC - Albyn Park, Broxburn
Game 4 - Livingston 2 Vs 1 Aberdeen - Tony Macaroni, Livingston

A long journey here, a longer journey home for Aberdeen fans
