Wee boy tuckered out with all the travel mess

Game day 120 we were heading to watch Bo'ness Athletic Play Edinburgh College at the Oriam again. Scotrail however had different plans...well planning not their strong point.

We got to the station in plenty of time, first train cancelled, no shock for Bathgate Station. We waited half an hour and the next train was physically to crammed for us to board (with goverment restrictions in place...sigh) the half past...you got it CANCELLED and that left us waiting on another train too full to board.. panic stations as it was now to late to go to Armadale game... and so a Taxi to Bo'ness it was!

THE GROUND
Check back old posts, we are becoming regulars here...love it!

THE PREDICTION
Now on paper and given form it would be safe to have said 9-0 Bo'ness, but as I said to the missus on the way,it will probably be one of those games where Vale nick it late on.

A minutes silence for former secretary Nick Simpson

DOWN TO THE ACTION!

As expected it was mostly Bo'ness, they just couldn't take their chances. The longer it went with more chances missed, the more my earlier comments haunted me.

A huge moment near the end was from a corner on the 86th minute, a Vale clearance looked like the ball had already went over the line for a Bo'ness goal, but the ref played on. This was when I knew it was just one of those games and Vale would go on to score, which they did.. in the 90th minute!

IN CLOSING
A first win of the season for Vale of Leithen so congratulations where it is due. Bo'ness could feel hard done by and any other day the probably would have won by a clear margain, but football has these games and these moments.
